Transformer marking

Transformer marking

Block and grid transformers often operate under extreme conditions so all components used to build them must be exceptionally durable. Dedicated solutions by Partex include:- durable steel nameplates, embossed steel carrier strip markers, single character stainless steel markers and 316 grade stainless steel cable ties for mounting cables.
Transformer nameplates

A nameplate is like a company business card. The information on the plate must remain legible for the entire service life of the equipment. The laser engraving technologies we use with approved materials are resistant to ultraviolet radiation, weather conditions and abrasion. You can design the plate using our website or send us the design in dwg, dxf, doc or cdr format. Plates can contain graphics, company logo, drawing or block diagram. The finished product can be delivered in just 24 hours!

Marking cables and pipes

The marker material for transformer cable and pipe identification must feature resistance to low and high temperatures, resistance to humidity and UV radiation, and resistance to synthetic, mineral, silicon oils and esters. The steel markers we manufacture are made of austenitic acid-resistant AISI 316L stainless steel that meets the requirements of SS 2347 or EN 1.4404. This type of steel contains min. 17% chromium, 11% nickel and 2% molybdenum. The operating temperature of the markers made of AISI 316L is more than 500°C.

Mounting cables, wires and pipes

If the weight of your wires, cables or conduits exceeds several dozen kilogrammes, then a nylon cable tie may not be strong enough. In this case, an ideal solution could be stainless steel cable ties. Made from acid-resistant AISI 316L stainless steel, they have a ball lock that permanently fixes the tie, their tensile strength is up to 1335 N. If the bundled components are rigid or you expect potential stresses that could damage the insulation, use spring steel ties. Tie tension is maintained by a spring, which is part of the tie.

Marking control circuits

As standard, the core markers we manufacture can operate at temperatures from -40 to +90°C. Special ProSleeve series markers feature an increased resistance to ambient temperature and can be used continuously in temperatures ranging from -55°C up to +225°C. Wires marked using oval profiles or heat shrink sleeves do not use a lot of space in cabinets or boxes. Our marking products are available in a wide range of sizes and, properly selected, they completely adhere to the cable surface.

Terminating transformer cables

We also have a full range of copper tube terminals for cables with a cross sectional area of 1.5mm² - 400mm². The terminals are made from high conductivity seamless copper tube. The electrolytically applied tin coating increases their corrosion resistance. Easy insertion of an insulated core is ensured by a bell-shaped cable entry. Each terminal features an inspection window to ensure full core insertion before crimping. Our standard products in this range are: standard terminals, angled terminals and butt connectors.
